The End of One Era

An end of an era and changing of the guard has come, as today It's Gosu eSports announces the release of it's current Dota 2 squad, which will be replaced by the team formerly known as Captain Planet.

The members of the squad originally known as  EZ Style have been representing It's Gosu since December of 2011, but now, due to unresolvable internal issues, our organization has decided to part ways with the team.

Though the team has been able to achieve some impressive results during their time with us (including a victory in joinDOTA’s Masters Cup II and a top-four finish in the first season of the StarLadder), a number of internal conflicts and issues combined to lead to this regrettable and unfortunate decision.

Statement from  Scott “RuMCaKe” Ball, General Manager of It’s Gosu's eSports teams:

It is unfortunate to have to release our current lineup. However this decision needed to be made in order to secure longevity and stability within our Dota 2 lineup. I will say that all of the players we are releasing are truly incredible players, and some very awesome people. I hope to keep in touch with them, and I still expect to see some big things from them in the future. I hope the whole community continues to keep an eye on them to see where they go, as wherever it may be, they will be successful.

The Beginning of Another Era

While the release of our current Dota 2 squad is an action all within It's Gosu regret having to take, we are nontheless very proud and excited to announce that the team formerly known as  Captain Planet will now be representing It's Gosu as our official Dota 2 squad.

Captain Planet is a very talented team featuring experienced players such as  Theeban “1437” Siva and  Tim “PowerNet” Moon, both of whom have played for It’s Gosu in the past.

The team made a name for itself a few weeks ago when they faced off against  World Elite in a great best-of-three showmatch sponsored by ECAL, and streamed and casted by It's Gosu's own Aaron "Ayesee" Chambers, securing a 2-0 victory.

Statement from  Scott “RuMCaKe” Ball regarding his new players:

Having worked with 1437 and Power.Net before, I can't even tell you how excited I am to work with them again. Their potential is incredible, and I am so happy to know that we will be able to help them in achieving their goals. We also look forward to working with Demise, Koreya, and Celdur as well. With how highly 1437 and Power.Net speak of them, I am sure they will be able to continue to show our fans some exciting games! I would like to thank our fans for their support so far, and I hope you will continue to provide support to our new roster! I am just so happy to welcome them home!

Statement from  Theeban “1437” Siva, captain of It’s Gosu:

I really never felt like I ever left It's GoSu. Since the beginning of Dota 2 it has been my home, and I'm really glad to be coming back to where it all started.

GoSu fighting!!!

Statement of  Tim “PowerNet” Moon, hard-carry and baller of It’s Gosu:

It feels great to be back at home with It’s GoSu. The first time around I said that my team would be stronger than ever, and this time I am determined to prove it!

It's Gosu's Dota 2 division line-up:

 Theeban "1437" Siva (Captain)
 Todd "Celdur" Fu
 Hector "Demise" Sandoval
 David "Koreya-" Kim
 Tim "PowerNet" Moon
