It's Gosu Dota 2 Monthly Madness Asia Invitational

Online Tournament Created By IG-Mcfly - Free Registration - Final!
From Saturday, Jul 07 2012 @ 08:00 AM until Sunday, Jul 29 2012 @ 04:00 PM

The second edition of The International is just around the corner and some of the invited Asian teams have little to no tournaments to play. As a result, we have decided to change our priorities as this season will not aim the North American and European scene but the Asian scene. Nevertheless, the format of the competition remains the same as the 16 participants will play in a single-elimination bracket, all Best-of-Three matches leading to a Best-of-Five Grand-Finals format. This third edition will also see the return of our casters,  Aaron ‘Ayesee’ Chambers and  Andy ‘Draskyl’ Lee Stiles but new faces will also make their apparition in our tournament as casters as  Vladmir ‘Maelstorm’ Kuzminov and  Wang ‘Prince’ Yumin will be casting for the Russian and Chinese community respectively.

IT'S GOSU DOTA 2 MADNESS ASIA INVITATIONAL OFFICIAL RULES

1. GENERAL:

Administration:

The following rules shall be administered equally in all possible cases. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or contingencies not outlined or addressed in these rules and policies, all final decisions will rest tournament administrators and It's Gosu staff. A list of admins will be provided to every team, all of whom will make themselves reasonably available before, during, and after official play to address any issues as they arise.

Code of Conduct:

While It's Gosu recognizes that the highly competitive nature of Dota 2 means volatile emotions and outbursts are a given, we also recognize that the foremost goal of any eSports organization must be creating a fun, fair, and comfortable environment for all of its members and competitors.

To that end, the following is forbidden during tournament play, and may result in varying degrees of punishment:

- Racial slurs and derogatory comments regarding the race of competitors

- Any comments in reference to sexual orientation

- Any derogatory comments regarding the nationality of competitors

- Any derogatory comments regarding a competitor's ability to communicate in English

- In-game flaming of an opposing team

All instances of the above are to be reported to an admin immediately.

A first offense will be met with a warning from an admin.

A second offense will result in disqualification of the player, who can be replaced by a team's listed substitute and no one else.

If a team which has already had a player disqualified commits another infraction, they will be immediately disqualified. If that team then decides to remain in the chat channel and continue flaming, it and all of its players will be banned from all future It's Gosu events.

Flawless behavior, during and between matches, and willingness to communicate with admins and other players is absolutely required. Furthermore punctuality is essential for a smooth competition.

NOTE: If for some reason a team cannot be played at the dates given, the match will be played earlier (On Thursday or Friday). However, the match will not be casted and the players from each team will have to save the replay and send them to the tournament administrators who will broadcast the replays at the original date. Failing to sending the replays to the administrators will result to a possible ban of the team in the next edition.

Match Scheduling:

The first match of each day will start at 20:00 CST/MYT/SGT. The second match will start at 22:00 CST unless the first match is not over. If the first match is not over, we would like the team to be patient and comprehensible.

Match Rescheduling:

If for a reason or another a team cannot play at the scheduled date, the team will have to use a wild-card in order to reschedule their match. In order to use that wildcard, a player of the team must contact an admin at least 48 hours before the match starts. Each team possesses one wild-card. If a team has to reschedule for a second time in the tournament, they will be banned from the upcoming tournament.

In-game Names:

It is indispensable that the players of each team uses the tag of the organization they represent as well as their real nickname.

Stand-ins:

A maximum of two stand-ins is allowed. However, those stand-ins cannot be players representing another team in our tournament. If the same team has to use stand-ins for a second time in the same tournament, a warning will be given.

5. MATCH PLAY

Game Version:

“Tournament” is the version that will be used for all matches.

Hosting:

All tournament games will be hosted in private lobbies by either casters or administrators. Teams will be given the lobby password approximately 30 minutes before the start of each match and will have to be present in the lobby 20 minutes before the match starts. If a player or a team is missing 20 minutes after the official start of the game, the opposing team will be given a 1-0 advantage. If the situation remains the same 20 minutes later, the opposing will win the match and thus advances to the next round.

There will be a break of approximately five minutes in-between games.

NOTE: Only the administrators, casters, players, managers and coaching of the teams playing are allowed to join the game.

Game Settings:

Only two servers will be used throughout this tournament:

-          SEA

-          China

Since each match will be played in a Best-of-Three, each team will play Radiant and have first pick at least once. If there is a third game, a coinflip will be made to determine on which side a team will have to play. First pick will be chosen randomly.

Picks and Bans:

The hero pool will consist of all heroes available in the most recently released Captains Mode. No pausing during hero drafting is permitted, unless a team captain disconnects.

Disconnects and Reconnects:

If a player disconnects, the game is to be paused instantly. Players have up to 10 minutes to reconnect to the game. If this time is passed, the opposing team may continue the game AFTER seeking an admin's approval. If the game is continued, the affected player may still rejoin later.

Bugs/Unforeseen Issues:

In the case of any bugs or other issues not enumerated in these rules, a case by case ruling will be made by the administration in how to continue.

Tools/Hacks:

Any unauthorized usage of third party software to the end of assisting a player or team's performance within this tournament will result in immediate disqualification.

Replays sharing:

Sharing the replays of the matches is totally forbidden.

Victory Conditions:
